After multiple attempts to reconcile, their differences were far too great to overcome and the Union would fall. *Two different kinds of trees native to Central America. The Ceiba tree is where the city of La Ceiba derives its name from. The Guanacaste is the national tree of Costa Rica, and has a province named after it.
